Common pricing questions
Can I start on Solo and upgrade later?
Yes. Every plan upgrade is immediate and prorated. Downgrades take effect at the next billing cycle.
What counts as an inspection?
A single inspection session on a vessel, regardless of how many checkpoints it contains. A full dockside + haul-out + sea trial on the same vessel is three sessions — or one if you configure a single multi-modal session.
Do unused inspections roll over?
No. Monthly inspection caps reset each billing period. If you regularly exceed your cap, consider upgrading to Firm (unlimited) or buying a month-by-month top-up.
Can I bring my own standards library?
Firm and Enterprise plans support a custom standards library — useful if your firm follows ISO, IMO, or region-specific regulations beyond ABYC/NAMS/SAMS. Standards text is always your responsibility to license; SurveyOS stores your references without reproducing the text.
What about evidence storage?
Every plan includes evidence storage (photos, documents, measurements) up to reasonable volume for the plan's inspection cap. Enterprise plans support bring-your-own S3, R2, or B2 bucket if you need to keep evidence inside your own VPC.
